The Wake is the fourteenth studio album by Canadian metal band Voïvod , released on September 21, 2018. It is their first album since the death of original bassist and founding member Denis "Piggy" D'Amour in 2005. The album was recorded between February and May 2018 at the RadicArt recording studio in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and was produced by Voïvod and Pierre Rémillard. The Wake is a concept album about a group of astronauts stranded on a space station after a cataclysmic event.
