Lost Machine is the sixteenth studio album by Canadian metal band Voïvod , released on 17 January 2020. It is the band's first album since the death of original bassist and founding member Denis "Piggy" D'Amour in 2005. The album was recorded between March and November 2019 in various studios in Canada and France and was produced by Voïvod and Francis Perron. It is the band's first album to feature new bassist Dominic "Rocky" Laroche, and the last to feature drummer Michel "Away" Langevin before his retirement in 2021. Lost Machine is a concept album about a world where machines have taken over and humans are forced to live in hiding.
