Peanuts and piano lovers, rejoice: the Vince Guaraldi trio's world-famous, gorgeous Christmas album "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is out in a new remastered and expanded edition. The brand new deluxe CD edition celebrates the legendary soundtrack to the 1965 television series, remastered from the original stereo tapes. Sound optimized to 24Bit. Plus 3 Christmas bonus tracks.

Digitally remastered using the 24bit process by California sound engineering giant Joe Tarantino. For this purpose, the renowned expert dug out the original analogue stereo master tapes of the 1965 multi-platinum album from the archives, along with the original stereo mixes. The result is a stunning difference in sound between this new release and the first CD release from 1988 - a testament to the great strides that have been made in the digitization of analog master tapes over the past 25 years.

It's fantastically audible, especially on the theme song "Christmas Time Is Here", as well as its extended soul instrumental version, which runs a good six minutes. The new release also includes three Christmas bonus tracks: 'Greensleeves', 'Thanksgiving Theme' and 'Great Pumpkin Waltz'.

Who doesn't know them, those unbeatable, lovable Peanuts? Charlie Brown and sassy Lucy, Snoopy, Linus, Schroeder, Sally and Peppermint Patty - as much a part of the holiday season as the ornaments on the Christmas tree.

180g black vinyl in gatefold sleeve. LP1 contains a brand new stereo remix of 2022. The sound has been remixed and remastered by Paul Blakemore from the original three and two track sources. LP2 contains newly discovered material consisting of highlights from five sessions. The set is presented in a gatefold sleeve and also includes new liner notes by Peanuts historian Derrick Bang.
