The complete soundtrack to David Bowie's cult film The Man Who Fell to Earth (directed by Nic Roeg, 1976) is released for the first time. The music, celebrated by film fans, was primarily contributed by John Phillips (co-founder of The Mamas and the Papas as Papa John, he composed "California Dreamin'" and "Kokomo" for the Beach Boys, among others) and Stomu Yamash'ta. The original recordings - long thought lost - have now been rediscovered and carefully remastered. The 2CD will be released simultaneously with the film's re-release in Germany. A little later, the product will be released as a 2LP and for hardcore fans also as a Deluxe Box. In addition to the 2CD and 2LP vinyl, the deluxe box set also includes a poster, photos from the shoot and a beautiful book with the story of the soundtrack.
