Here it is at last, mastered from the best possible sources and with an equally strong line-up of names and tracks. Virtually all of the 28 artists featured here were household names in country music in their day, and most of them still are more than 50 years later. In between the straight-ahead country is a generous helping of uptempo hillbilly and borderline rockabilly to maintain musical diversity. The booklet is crammed with detailed annotations and lavish illustrations, with at least one picture for each of the 28 selected tracks.
