Product Information This final CD of Pied Piper material contains more interesting findings on cassettes. There is even a little-known Pied Piper recording from King Louie's court. Featured are Jack Ashford's first productions outside of Detroit: the 1965 Joe Douglas and Yvonne Baker Philly recordings. The alternate version of Douglas' "Crazy Things" is an unreleased gem. The most interesting recent discovery is Lorraine Chandler's 'Ease My Mind', a Pied Piper song and a track that was not documented until the recent transfer of Jack's Just Production tapes. Also included is Rose Batiste's magnificent backing track 'This Heart Is Lonely'. We have retained some backing vocals by Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent to distinguish it from the basic instrumental track released as 'Bari Track' by Doni Burdick. This 45 became a monster of northern soul in 1970s England and here we present it in its purest form from the original 1965 multi-track recording. Willie Kendrick brings us alternate takes of 'American Dollar' and 'Watch Yourself (She's Fooling You)', which were unknown before they appeared on our 'Rare Collectible And Soulful' CDs in the 1990s. An alternative early version of Lorraine Chandler's 'She Don't Want You' also sounds amazing.
