In 2005, the band Nordic Notes was founded, whose catalogue includes Eläkelläiset alongside progressive rock recordings. Three years later, Beste! Entertainment dedicated to non-Nordic artists in the fields of songwriting, folk and Americana. Unsurprisingly, in the following years, the division of the label was not always clear: should the Nordic origin or the musical focus be emphasized? In the end, it doesn't matter to the listener - what matters is good music, and there is plenty of it on both labels, as the seventeen-song compilation "Nordic Notes Vol. 2" impressively underlines. Alongside Faroese singer-songwriter Gudrid Hansdottir, Icelandic quartet Arstidir with their captivating chamber folk, Finland's Aino Venna with her single "Radio Ma Cherie", which became a hit on Helsinki radio, unreleased material from Ragga Gröndal and Var, the new band Myrra Ros, there is plenty of top-notch music to discover.
