But in the early days of pop music's youth, it's also easier to see the connections. Among the 23 songs and their performers are people Elvis himself considered role models and inspirations, as well as the originators or early performers of many of "his" famous songs, or people who represented connections between Elvis and other protagonists. It's nice to see that even an undisputed global star didn't invent rock'n'roll alone, but was part of a wider circle of - mostly African-American - protagonists, many of whom were influenced by Elvis' music. In addition to hits like "Jailhouse Rock," "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Teddy Bear," which became world famous thanks to ELVIS, you'll find artists like Roy Hamilton, Lavern Baker, Brook Benton, Otis Blackwell, Clarence Paul, The Cadets, Ollie Jones and others with great rhythm'n'blues, rock'n'roll and doo-wop songs.
