"DAS ALBUM: Rock-Bilanz" became a household name among young people in the GDR in the 1980s and was always eagerly awaited and appreciated. Under the slogan "Das Album" the first double album Rock-Bilanz was released in 1981, which collected the best rock songs of the year. Among them were many titles that were not available on any other LP or from the author himself. It became a real event for die-hard fans, was regularly offered until the end of the GDR in 1989 and always became a bestseller. Then and now, old vinyl records are still highly prized and have become sought-after items among collectors. This release marks the first appearance of the 1988 vintage and finally as a double CD with the original track list.
