They quickly fused rock with dance music, and their 1991 album Screamadelica secured their worldwide breakthrough. In 2011, it was voted number one on the "50 Druggiest Albums Ever" list by New Musical Express magazine. Primal Scream boss Bobby Gillespie compiled the first compilation to be released commercially.
