"Type O Negative: Bloody Kisses" is the third studio album by the American gothic metal band Type O Negative, released on August 17, 1993, through Roadrunner Records. This album is notable for being the first record from Roadrunner to achieve Gold and Platinum certification by the RIAA, signifying over 500,000 and 1,000,000 units sold respectively. "Bloody Kisses" includes some of the band's most famous songs, such as "Black No. 1 (Little Miss Scare-All)" and "Christian Woman," which helped to establish Type O Negative's unique blend of doom metal, goth rock, and dark humor. The album's themes often revolve around romance, depression, and death. The frontman and bassist Peter Steele's deep baritone voice became a defining characteristic of the band's sound.
