This at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival Although the name "Montreux Jazz Festival" refers to a purely jazz event, the Swiss festival has previously featured artists from other musical genres such as rock and pop. These include legends such as Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, Simon & Garfunkel, Mike Oldfield, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash and Van Morrison. Exactly 25 years ago, they were joined by Toto. In 2016, the first ever recording of this memorable performance was released, "Toto: Live At Montreux 1991", which is available on CD, DVD and Blu-ray. Steve Lukather (guitar, vocals), David Paich (keys, vocals), Jeff Porcaro (drums) and Mike Porcaro (bass) played a total of eight songs on the evening of July 5, 1991, along with several live musicians. In addition to songs from the 1992 album "Kingdom Of Desire" and classics like "Africa" and "Rosanna", they also played two cover versions of Jimi Hendrix's "Red House" and Sly Stone's "I Want To Take You Higher". A real concert highlight of Toto finally in picture and sound. "Toto: Live At Montreux 1991" shows the band in top form.
