A visit to Brazil sparked Horace Silver's interest in his Portuguese roots and led to the composition of the great "Song For My Father", his most faithful composition. This album also featured his new band with Joe Henderson and Carmell Jones, and there is no shortage of classical music with Blue Mitchell and Junior Cook.
