Blackout is the seventh studio album by the German rock band Scorpions, released in 1982. The album was recorded at Dierks Studios in Cologne and mixed at the Record Plant in Los Angeles. Blackout is the band's first album to feature guitarist Matthias Jabs. The album was a commercial success, reaching number six on the Billboard 200 chart. It was certified platinum by the RIAA. The album spawned four singles, "No One Like You", "Dynamite", "Bad Boys Running Wild" and "Rock You Like a Hurricane". Blackout is considered one of the band's best albums. It was voted the second best album of 1983 by Kerrang! Awards. Eduardo Rivadavia of AllMusic called it "an album that sounds fresh and vital more than 30 years after its release" in a retrospective review.
