The Best of Sade is a compilation album by English singer Sade released in 1994. The album contains songs from her first three studio albums Diamond Life (1984), Promise (1985) and Stronger Than Pride (1988), as well as the song No Ordinary Love from the soundtrack to the 1992 film Love Story. Upon its release, The Best of Sade was a commercial success, reaching number one in the UK and number two on the Billboard 200 in the United States. The album was certified six times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and sold more than six million copies worldwide. The album received positive reviews from music critics. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic praised the album as a "great overview" of Sade's first three studio albums and noted that the song "No Ordinary Love" is the only new track on the album. He concluded by saying that "The Best of Sade is a great introduction to the world of Sade Adu, one of the most underrated and unfairly dismissed pop singers of the 80s and 90s". Caroline Sullivan, in a review for The Guardian, hailed the album as a "greatest hits package".
