For The Game, Queen collaborated with Reinhold Mack for the first time. In his Musicland Studios in Munich, the music producer rediscovered the band's sound. Here, Queen sound more polished than before and deliver an unadulterated pop album. Mack, who also worked as a sound engineer for the Electric Light Orchestra, introduced Mercury and his colleagues to new recording techniques. On The Game, Queen used a synthesizer (Oberheim OBX) for the first time, though still in moderation. Another One Bites The Dust and Crazy Little Thing Called Love became worldwide successes.
