Queen are not only the most successful English band, ahead of the Beatles, but also one of the most successful bands of all time, selling over 150 million records and playing over 700 concerts. After a record-breaking tour of Japan and Latin America, Queen arrived in Montreal in November 1981 with the #1 hit album "Greatest Hits." It was the only concert ever captured on 35mm film. A great concert band with arguably the best frontman of all time, Freddie Mercury, outdid themselves on camera. Footage from the original film has been digitally restored, the sound has been remixed and remastered and now appears in DTS surround sound and PCM Stereo based on the original multi-track tapes. Bonus material includes the band's complete Live Aid concert and previously unreleased rehearsal footage of Live Aid with the songs 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Radio Gaga' and 'Hammer To Fall'. The bonus material is rounded out by, among other things, previously unreleased interviews with the full band at Live Aid, brand new commentary by Brian May and Roger Taylor, and interesting 'before and after' comparisons of the restored material. Product Information: In 1981, when "Under Pressure" was dominating the UK charts, Queen arrived in Montreal after a concert tour of Japan and a record-breaking tour of Latin America. It was the only Queen concert ever filmed on 35mm film. The always great touring band with arguably the best frontman of all time, Freddie Mercury, was on full display for the cameras. The image was digitally restored from the original film and the sound was newly mixed and mastered for DTS Surround Sound and PCM Stereo from the original multi-track tapes.
