Rid Of Me is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter PJ Harvey. It was released in May 1993 on Island Records, about a year after the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Dry. It represented a departure from Harvey's earlier songwriting and was more raw and aggressive than its predecessor. The songs on Rid Of Me were sung by Harvey's eponymous trio, consisting of Harvey (guitar and vocals), Rob Ellis (drums and backing vocals) and Steve Vaughan (bass). It was the last album the band recorded before their breakup in late 1993. Most of the songs on the album were recorded by Steve Albini. Rid Of Me was received very positively by critics. It was ranked 406th on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time (Wikipedia).
