A lost treasure from Young's archives It's been rumored for some time, but now it's finally a certainty: Neil Young's "lost" album "Hitchhiker" will be released on CD in 2017. Young recorded the album in 1976 at Indigo Ranch Studios in Malibu, California. The Canadian rock musician released the title track on his album "Le Noise" in 2010. "Hitchhiker" contains a total of nine solo acoustic songs that he recorded sequentially in a single session. The album's cover art is by Young's longtime friend, artist Gary Burden, who has designed covers for Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Joni Mitchell, The Doors and The Eagles, among others.
