It rocks, it rolls: a new album by Neil Young and Crazy Horse After the release of the concert album "Carnegie Hall 1970", the first edition of the new "The Neil Young Official Bootleg Series", in October 2021, fans of the Canadian folk and rock musician can look forward to more news in December with a new album. "Barn" is the title of the album he recorded with Crazy Horse in June 2021. Just two years ago, Young and his band released the reunion album "Colorado" after a seven-year hiatus. The name "Barn" was not chosen by chance: The album was recorded in a barn in the Rocky Mountains that had previously been renovated by his wife, Daryl Hannah. The cover image. Neil Young, Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina and Nils Lofgren recorded ten songs there with the help of "Le Mobile Recording Studio". The production was handled by Young and Niko Bolas aka "The Volume Dealers". "The Barn is something very special," Young wrote to his fans on The Neil Young Archives website. With "Song Of The Seasons", Neil Young and Crazy Horse unveiled the first single from the album back in October: a gentle folk ballad and, according to the singer, the oldest song on "Barn". "Barn" is available on CD and LP and, like Neil Young's previous albums, in a limited edition box set with CD, LP and Blu-ray. The Blu-ray includes a film of the band's live performance, directed by Daryl Hannah. There is also a limited independent edition with the album on LP and six behind-the-scenes photos.
