Guaranteed no lazy magic: Motörhead experiments with "Bad Magic" It's been a whopping 40 years since the band formed. But even with their twenty-second studio album, Motörhead have by no means aged. On the contrary, "Bad Magic" is as loud, vicious and uncompromising as ever. Fans of hard rock and heavy metal will find 13 new songs on the album. Twelve of them were written by band members Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee. For the thirteenth and final song, the band chose a cover version of the Rolling Stones classic "Sympathy For The Devil". The typical Motörhead sound is unmistakable here as well. Bad Magic" convinces with its usual confident tone. The rebellious lyrics, Lemmy's distinctive voice and first-class guitar and drumming are familiar from Motörhead. In addition, there are again some tracks that have the optimal prerequisites to become stadium rock anthems, such as the first single "Thunder & Lightning". Even in the production of the new album, tried-and-tested structures have been maintained. For the recording, the band once again went to California's NRG Studios, where they brought an old friend: Cameron Webb had already produced the previous albums "Aftershock" (2013), "Motörizer" (2008) and "Inferno" (2004). What is certain is that Motörhead fans will not find any hokey experiments on the new album, but plenty of "Bad Magic".
