Miles Davis' collaboration with tenor saxophonist John Coltrane from 1955-1961 produced some of the most amazing recordings in jazz history. This set contains all of the quintet's recordings made during two marathon studio sessions on May 11 and October 26, 1956. From these amazing performances came the music released on the classic albums Cookin' , Workin' , Relaxin' and Steamin' , which ended the trumpeter's contract with Prestige Records. As a bonus, this set also includes the complete recording from the Miles Davis Quintet's previous LP "Miles".
