"In Concert" is a live double album recorded in 1972 at Philharmonic Hall in New York. This album brings the funk from the excellent studio sessions that produced "On The Corner", with a taste of the sonic boom captured on "Agharta" and "Pangaea". "Rated X" kicks off the album from rhythmic chatter to a swelling wave of funk until Mike Henderson enters mid-solo on Miles' wah-wah trumpet. Throughout, it's Mtume's Congo, Badal Roy's tabla and Khalil Balakrishna's sitar that make this album a spicy world music gumbo, another blend that Miles masterfully mixes with his trumpet.
