A jazz classic, now for the first time as a deluxe double LP! Miles Davis' 1957 track "Birth Of The Cool" really needs no introduction. The album represents Davis' transition from bebop to cool jazz and was his first collaboration with master arranger Gil Evans. After countless reissues on CD and LP, the album is now being released in its definitive version on LP. The double LP includes the entire album and a live recording made during Miles' two-week stay at the Royal Roost in New York City in September 1948. This edition is the perfect vinyl version of the 1998 expanded CD set. A new cut from the original single masters, a fold-out 28-page booklet with rare photographs and a new essay by acclaimed jazz writer Ashley Kahn.
