Remastered reissue of American metal classics on CD and vinyl. "The World Needs A Hero" is the ninth studio album by American thrash metal legend Megadeth. Originally released in May 2001, the album was received by fans as the band's return to a heavier musical direction and upon its release it reached number 16 on the Billboard 200 chart. It received positive reviews in the music press and has drawn comparisons to the band's classic albums "Rust In Peace" and "Countdown To Extinction". Megadeth just completed their 35th anniversary world tour. The complete album has been remastered by Ted Jensen (Pantera, Mastodon) and includes the rare live bonus track "Coming Home" on the CD version. Back on vinyl for the first time in 18 years. The CD has been out of print for five years.
