The album didn't sell immediately, but it went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time with approximately 43 million copies. As recently as 2014, it was still selling approximately 200,000 copies annually. Rolling Stone magazine lists "Bat Out Of Hell" at number 343 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
