Her voice, the voice of the narrator, and the voices of the people of 70 nations create a soundscape through which the music flows. This is played by an ensemble I call a "negative orchestra", which also reflects a world turned upside down: the main lines are carried by double basses and cellos. "Max Richter is considered the architect of the post-minimalist electronic wave at the border of classical music.
