Hybrid Theory's groundbreaking debut album, originally released in October 2000, is a blend of heavy alternative rock, hip-hop and electronic influences that inspired a new genre of music and a generation of devoted fans who remain loyal to the band today. In addition, their sound has influenced many young bands who have identified with their intense and emotive style of music. Hybrid Theory became the best-selling album of 2001 in the U.S. and has sold 11 million copies to date, earning the band a rare Billboard "Diamond" award. Hybrid Theory's success was accompanied by extensive touring and three successful singles, "One Step Closer", "Crawling" and "In The End". For "Crawling", the band won their first Grammy Award in the "Best Rock Performance" category. In celebration of the 20th anniversary since the original release, Hybrid Theory: 20th Anniversary Edition is being released as a 4 LP vinyl box set and includes "Hybrid Theory" (1LP), "Reanimation" (2LP) and the new compilation "B-Side Rarities", which is only available on vinyl in this LP box set.
