Téměř 1,5 roku po vydání soundtracku Laibach k šílené nacistické persifláži "Iron Sky" na CD vychází album konečně na 2LP u Mute!

Film měl premiéru na Berlinale v roce 2012 a stal se překvapivým úspěchem festivalu s pěti zcela vyprodanými projekcemi. Od serveru spiegel.de přes Guardian až po Ha'aretz získal film jednoznačně pozitivní recenze. A to byl teprve začátek.
Film se již těší kultovnímu statusu, což je částečně dáno tím, že byl částečně financován prostřednictvím crowdfundingu na internetu a za dobu svého vzniku přilákal početnou komunitu internetových fanoušků.
