When Bonobo chose a track by unknown band Khruangbin for his "Late Night Tales" in 2013, no one could have guessed that the Houston trio would become international stars moments later thanks to their exotic sound. Immediately following their third studio album, "Mordechai" (June 2020), now comes their self-release in this music-loving series. Khruangbin's sun-drenched, life-affirming selections transcend borders and cultures, her love of global rhythms - from Asian pop to Nigerian reggae - imbued with eclecticism and soul. Hindi disco Nazie Hassan (produced by the legendary Biddu) meets South Korean rock band Sanulim, Nigeria's Maxwell Udoh meets Ethiopia's Roha Band, Belarusian formation Pesnyary meets Madrid's Paloma San Brasilio. Sami Khruangbin add the obligatory exclusive cover, a great version of "Summer Madness" by Kool & The Gangs.
