Joe Satriani kicks off the 2018 rock year The 2018 rock year is off to a good start, as none other than Joe Satriani is releasing a new album in January. "What Happens Next" is the title of his sixteenth solo album, for which he has received significant support. Joining him are Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, with whom he is in the supergroup Chickenfoot, and Black Country Communion singer and bassist and former Deep Purple member Glenn Hughes. With their help, Satriani recorded twelve new songs for the album "What Happens Next" last year. Production and mixing was again handled by Mike Fraser. "Energy", "Thunder High On The Mountain" and "Cherry Blossoms". And they make it clear: with "What Happens Next", Joe Satriani sends the first rock highlight of the year into the race in January 2018.
