Nach der Beendigung der ausgedehnten G3 Tour, die Konzerte in drei Kontinenten (Südamerika, Australien und Europa) umfasste, begab sich Satriani mit seinem musikalischen Kollegen Mike Keneally (Keyboards), Chris Chaney (Bass) und Vinnie Colaiuta (Drums) ins kalifornische "Sklywalker Sound" Studio und nahm 16 neue Songs auf, die ihren produktionstechnischen Schliff vom Meisterproduzenten Mike Fraser erhielten.Wer Satriani kennt, weiss, dass der Mann immer Qualität abliefert, auch das neue Album wird seine Fans daher nicht enttäuschen. Product Information Now that the asteroid has safely passed us by, I feel it's time to break my cyberspace silence and let you all know what I've been up to for the past few months. After returning home from the last of three incredible G3 tours, I got to work writing music for a new solo record. What followed was a very fruitful and cathartic two months, resulting in a package of new music that I was excited to record. When 16 songs were chosen for the project, going in different directions and touching on different musical influences, I realised I needed to put together a new studio band. The intention was to increase the energy level of the session and allow each player to express the material more individually. I pulled into Skywalker Sound with Mike Keneally on keys, Chris Chaney on bass and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums. The chemistry between these amazing players was fantastic and we went through all the songs and they all delivered amazing performances. On Valentine's Day I finally finished all the rework, checked the tracks with engineer/producer Mike Fraser and excitedly started loading out of the studio!"
