Catfish Rising was the fourteenth studio album by British rock band Jethro Tull, released in 1991. The album was recorded in various studios in England and Wales and was produced by Ian Anderson and Nigel Griggs. Musically, the album is a blend of hard rock and folk and features the song "The Whaler's Dues", which Anderson wrote about his ancestor, whaler James Anderson. The album was not a commercial success, but was well received by critics.
