In the meantime, this very talented Dutch woman has become a seasoned star in the world of classical music. On this recording, this outstanding violinist plays Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons. However, this well-known work is not played orchestrally here, but in chamber music. Each voice is represented by only one instrument in the ensemble. Every previously unheard nuance, every subtlety emerges, a musical exchange of ideas takes place, dominated by Jansen's thrilling playing on her "Barrere", Antonio Stradivari's (Cremona) violin from 1727.
