The last LP "Thrust" under the keyboard virtuoso's name was already a year old, the soundtrack to Charles Bronson's classic "Death Wish" rather failed to satisfy fans. At concerts in Tokyo, Herbie Hancock remembered his hits: "Maiden Voyage", "Chameleon" and the famous, soulful "Watermelon Salesman" cheered fans in concert halls and at open-air shows.After 40 years, I have the courage to admit that I was indifferent to music back then; there was plenty of new stuff to see and hear in Europe. Now, with the reissue in its original format, there is an opportunity to hear whether the music can withstand the ravages of time. And I must say that the test was a success!
