The Score was released in 1996 and was the second and last album by the hip hop trio Fugees . The album was a commercial and critical success, topping the charts in the United States and winning a Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The Score has been praised for its eclectic mix of genres, from hip-hop and soul to reggae and world music, and for the content of its lyrics, which touch on social and political issues. The album's biggest hits include "Killing Me Softly", "Ready or Not" and "No Woman, No Cry".
