Dogrel jsou drsné rýmy irských doků, továren a "raných domů". Poezie obyčejného člověka. Více Brendan Behan než Bono. Dogrel je také rock and roll. Ve své nejlepší podobě. Chraplavý a naštvaný. Ale také zádumčivý a romantický.

Nahrávkou, která vznikla loni na podzim s producentem Danem Careym (také Kate Tempest), se jako červená nit táhne jedna premisa: prožitá autenticita. Fontaines D.C. na sebe upozornili už loni "celým praporem skvělých singlů" (musikexpress) a mnozí je už teď považují za nováčky roku 2019.
