Fallen is the debut studio album by American rock band Evanescence.It was released on October 22, 2003 by Wind-up Records. The album was produced by Ben Moody, who founded the band with singer Amy Lee, and Dave Fortman. The album Fallen was recorded at The Record Plant studio in Hollywood, California. The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling over 141,000 copies in its first week. It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in March 2004 and has since gone platinum three times. Worldwide, Fallen has sold more than 17 million copies. The album's lead single, "Bring Me to Life", was a commercial success and reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single, "My Immortal", reached the top ten of the charts in several countries. The song "Going Under" was released as the album's third single and reached number one on the US Mainstream Rock chart. "Bring Me to Life" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance.
