Nightwish The album "Imaginaerum", released at the end of 2011, was a breakthrough for the Finnish symphonic metal band. The album was based on the Nightwish film of the same name, which was released in cinemas in late 2012, directed by Stobe Harju and produced by Nightwish bassist and founder Tuomas Holopainen. The album was a departure from the band's earlier work, featuring a more orchestral sound and a greater emphasis on the film's storyline. The album was a critical and commercial success, debuting at number one in several countries. The first single "Storytime" became a big hit and topped the charts in several countries. The album was nominated for numerous awards and won the Emma Award for Best Album of the Year.
