EPMD je americká hiphopová skupina z Brentwoodu ve státě New York. Název skupiny je zkratkou jmen jejích členů "E" a "PMD", tedy akronymem pro "Erick and Parrish Making Dollars", což odkazuje na její členy, emcees Ericka Sermona ("E" alias E Double) a Parrishe Smithe ("PMD" alias Parrish Mic Doc).

V rozhovoru pro univerzitní rozhlasovou stanici WHOV v roce 1987 Parrish Smith vysvětlil, že název se vyvinul z původního: "Původně jsme byli známí jako EEPMD '(Easy Erick and Parrish the Microphone Doctor)', ale rozhodli jsme se pro EPMD, protože se to lépe pamatovalo."

Skupina působí už 31 let (bez dvou rozpadů v letech 1993 a 1999) a patří k nejvýznamnějším kapelám hip hopu na východním pobřeží. Slovo "Business" je použito v názvu každého alba skupiny. Nyní se klasická deska "Back In Business" dočkala reedice na vinylu. Vydavatelství Yo!
