Elvis Presley's "G.I. Blues" is a soundtrack album from the 1960 Paramount Pictures film of the same name, in which Presley stars as Tulsa McLean, a soldier stationed in Germany. Released by RCA Victor in mono and stereo, LPM/LSP 2256, in October 1960, the album showcases a variety of musical styles that Elvis was known for, including rock and roll, ballads, and pop. The record features eleven tracks that capture the spirit of the film and highlight Presley's versatility as a vocalist. Notable songs include "Wooden Heart," which became a hit for Elvis in Europe; "Blue Suede Shoes," a rock and roll anthem that Elvis famously covered earlier in his career; "Tonight Is So Right For Love" and "What's She Really Like," which reflect the romantic themes of the movie; "Frankfort Special" and "G.I.
