This album was the first compilation of his greatest hits on Elvis Presley . It was released in 1958 and included songs such as "Heartbreak Hotel", "Don't Be Cruel" and "Love Me Tender". The album was a huge success and helped cement Elvis' status as a pop icon. It was certified platinum and sold more than ten million copies.
