Blur: Modern Life Is Rubbish LTD version on vinyl 2LP in Remastered limited edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Food in cooperation with Parlophone on 1. August 2012.

Po náročném americkém turné v roce 1992, kdy hráli pro nevděčné fanoušky grunge, se členům Blur stýskalo po domově a frontman Damon Albarn na cestách často nacházel útěchu v hudbě The Kinks. Anglocentrický přístup kapely inspiroval album "Modern Life Is Rubbish", v němž se Blur odvrátili od madchesterového stylu svého debutu a vrátili se ke klasickému britskému písničkářství 60. let.

Album, které vyšlo dnes před 25 lety, bylo "zvláštní kombinací tichých, nostalgicky znějících melodií a akordů s těmito podivnými, kousavými texty o Anglii, jaká tehdy byla", jak cituje Albarn.

Díky nesmazatelným singlům jako "For Tomorrow" a "Chemical World" byla úspěšná a "Modern Life Is Rubbish" byla prvním krokem na cestě, která Blur vynesla do čela britského rocku.
