Frank is the debut studio album by English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse , released on 20 October 2003 on Island Records. The album was produced by Winehouse's father Mitch Winehouse. After her first label dropped her, Winehouse signed with Island Records and began working with producer Salaam Remi. The album's title is a reference to the singer's grandfather Frank Sinatra. The album spawned three singles, "Stronger Than Me", "You Know I'm No Good" and "Rehab". "Rehab" was a commercial success, reaching number one in the United Kingdom and number ten in the United States. "Frank" was met with positive reviews from music critics, who praised Winehouse's songwriting and singing skills. The album was nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2004 and was awarded double platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The album "Frank" has been cited as an influence by a number of artists, including Adele, Bruno Mars and Lily Allen. In 2009, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album 298th on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
