Kama Sutra

Kama Sutra

starověký hindský text o erotické lásce

Kama Sutra (also called Kama Sutra Records) was the record label of parent company Kama Sutra Records, Inc.. The company was started by Artie Ripp, Hy Mizrahi, and Phil Steinberg who also ran Kama Sutra Productions, Inc.. The label was initially launched with the help of an ex-MGM executive named Art Kass who secured a distribution arrangement for the label with MGM Records. After the label became successful, they then moved on to become part of the Buddah Records family of labels, and from 1969 on Kama Sutra was exclusively distributed by Buddah Records, Inc.. Kama Sutra continued to be a successful label under Buddah all through the seventies and well into the eighties when it was sold, along with the entire Buddah back catalog, to BMG in 1986. BMG maintained all copyright control of the entire Buddah catalog including the Kama Sutra label until it was absorbed into the Sony Music Group in the early 2000's. Pre-BMG material usually shows the Kama Sutra (pre-Buddah & post-Buddah parent) address of 810 Seventh Avenue, N.Y. 10019. The Buddah/Kama Sutra back catalog is currently managed by "Legacy", which is part of the Sony Music Group. For the publishing companies see Kama Sutra Music and its branches Kama Sutra Music Ltd. & Kama Sutra Music, Inc..
