J.Bridge Records

Defunct record label located in Kansas City, Missouri and associated with the soul group Smoke (13). "Midwest Home of the Stars" Les Matthews was the president of J. Bridge Productions, Inc. J. Bridge was conceived around 1972 by Matthews when he was 30 years old but would not come come to fruition until 1974.The building located at 1521 Prospect, KC housed J-Bridge Records (J-Bridge and Jayco record Labels) Cornsim Publishing Company (BMI), O.C.B. Publishing Company (ASCAP) and J-Bridge Pros (sports management), public relations and promotions concerns and a music and modeling school called J-Bridge Academy of Performing & Creative Arts. Together they made up J-Bridge Productions, Inc.
