The Gun

The Gun

The Gun was a British rock band formed in the late 1960s by brothers Adrian (guitar) and Paul Gurvitz (bass), along with drummer Louie Farrell. They are best known for their self-titled debut album "Gun" released in 1968, which included their most successful single, "Race with the Devil." This track is notable for its pioneering use of distortion and feedback techniques. Following the success of their first album, they released a second one titled "Gunsight" in 1969. Despite their initial impact and contribution to the hard rock and progressive rock scenes, The Gun was relatively short-lived. After disbanding, the Gurvitz brothers went on to form Three Man Army and later teamed up with Ginger Baker as the Baker Gurvitz Army, continuing their careers in the music industry.
