STS

STS, short for Steinbäcker, Timischl, and Schiffkowitz, is an Austrian pop-rock band that was formed in 1978. The trio consists of Gert Steinbäcker, Günter Timischl, and Schiffkowitz, whose real name is Helmut Röhrling. They are known for their melodic rock songs and ballads, often featuring lyrics in Austrian dialect that deal with both personal and social issues. STS gained significant popularity in German-speaking countries and their music is characterized by its storytelling and the use of acoustic guitars. They have released numerous albums throughout their career, achieving several hits and becoming a staple on the Austrian music scene.
