Jónsi is the stage name of Jón Þór Birgisson, an Icelandic musician and singer known for his ethereal falsetto voice and unique use of bowed guitar. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the post-rock band Sigur Rós, which he formed in 1994 with his friends. The band gained international acclaim for their distinctive sound, which blends classical and minimalist aesthetic elements.
