Ice-T, born Tracy Lauren Marrow on February 16, 1958, is a pioneering figure in the hip-hop industry, known for his contributions as a rapper and actor. He began his career as an underground artist in the 1980s and gained fame with his debut album "Rhyme Pays" in 1987, which was among the first hip-hop albums to carry an explicit content sticker. His subsequent albums, "The Iceberg/Freedom of Speech...Just Watch What You Say" (1989) and "O.G. Original Gangster" (1991), further established his reputation as a storyteller with hard-hitting lyrics that often addressed social issues, gang life, and street justice.
